I ranted a bit about indie kids, but here's where it really gets me; they've fucking made Ghostface not cool anymore.
A friend of mine (who is it???) went to a Ghostface concert and it was a good time, except for all the hipsters. I don't like hipster hate, really; a lot of it is usually overexaggerations and then hipster hating becomes just as tired as hipsterdom itself. But there they all were, and then Ghostface says something like "Where my niggas at?" and
The hipsters look at each other incredulously, like "Can you BELIEVE he said that?"
And that's really the status Ghostface is reduced to; people looking at each other and treating him like some kind of a clown, a goofy black dude who raps things they don't understand (what's a...a baseball spliff???).
And the sad thing is, he's way more than that. He's fucking talented.
This came on the heels of the new Wu Tang, and blew that boring piece of shit away. Stellar beats, and great rapping by Ghostface.
If only you damn white people stayed away (CONTROVERSY).
But what can I say? Probably one of the best rap albums of his already stellar discography. Sidenote: does anyone know what the deal with Bulletproof Wallets is? No one talks about that shit at all.
